formula overview
$12.39/0.08oz. – $154.88 per ounce
The lipstick is said to last for 8 hours, has no transfer, has a “vivid matte color” and has a “naked lip” feel. According to the brand, it should “deliver an opaque, matte color in one coat.” Well, “applying” is difficult because the physical lipstick is so firm, stiff, and dry. So it wasn’t possible to apply an even, liquid layer, and I had to pull and pull on it really painfully before applying it to my lips to really blend the color together.
I would recommend using a lip brush or stroking the top layer of the lipstick on the back of your hand first to soften/warm it which made it a bit smoother on my lips although it’s still one of the harder lipsticks I know . I’ve had the unpleasant experience of trying.
It felt very light but the matte formula was clingy and made my lips look drier/emphasised lip texture and started to flake. If your lips aren’t naturally smooth, I don’t think it would be difficult to even and smooth them even with exfoliation.
Once I managed to get past the stiffness, it showed a semi-opaque to opaque color payoff, was very long-lasting, and was quite resistant to transfer, surviving a meal. Most shades also discolored to some degree, benefiting the longevity and appearance of the lipstick as it wore out.
The formula dried slightly overall, although not nearly as drying as I would have expected (nor as drying as the stickiness made it feel). There seemed to be no smell or taste.
