A busy mum who once weighed 40 pounds has revealed her new figure after shedding a whopping seven dress sizes.
Kelly Rogers, 45, from Swansea, Wales, was so keen on getting fit that she used her annual leave to take weight-loss classes.
The uphill battle yielded incredible results that saw the mother of two go from a size 24 to a size 10.
The payroll administrator piled on the pounds after eating curries and chips and enjoying alcoholic weekends.
After years of self-neglect and fad diets, she has embraced a healthier lifestyle that includes a diet high in salmon, salads, and black coffee.

The mother-of-two showed off her slim figure – which she achieved through exercises like boxing and long walks
She said, “I knew I had to change something.”
“I’ve completely changed my eating habits and stopped binge drinking on the weekends.”
“I’ve even signed up for a local weight loss group that I book off every Friday to attend.
“In the first week I lost 8 pounds, which prompted me to lose even more.” I started boxing at the gym my son works at and the weight started to take off me.
“It’s amazing how far I’ve come through the annual vacation days.” “Having that extra day to focus on my weight loss made a huge difference.”
The single mother was pushed into parenthood at the age of 19, where she was immediately forced to balance personal life and work.
During the weekdays, she cooked meals like bolognese and curry, but often ate double portions plus leftovers.
And as her children, Cory, 26, and Kai, 19, grew older, she began indulging in wine sprees on Friday nights and binge drinking on the weekends.

After a “delightful Christmas,” things came to a head for Kelly, and in December 2021 she vowed to end her unhealthy diet
She explained, “I’ve always been a working mom, so I want to make the most of weekends with the kids, which meant going to McDonald’s or going out for takeout.”
“It was fun for the kids and easy for me, but it all meant that my weight kept gaining.”
“I’ve never had a thing for sweets, but when there were leftovers I had to finish them and ate double and sometimes triple portions.”
After a “pampering Christmas,” things took a turn for the mum, and in December 2021, Kelly vowed to do away with her unhealthy diet.
Beginning in January 2022, she booked every Friday for 12 weeks off to attend a weight loss support group.
And within the first three months, she lost an incredible ten pounds and went down to a size 18.
“I reduced my portions and made sure my plate was full of fresh veggies,” Kelly said.
“I was grateful to my boss for letting me attend the Friday group sessions because it really helped me stay focused.”
“Being able to share my weight loss journey with others was important because we kept each other going.”
The glamorous mom says dieting doesn’t have to be boring as she also makes time for a little fun every now and then
Kelly is looking forward to becoming a ‘hands-on’ grandmother for the first time
“I feel great and as the weekend approaches I’m not even thinking about drinking a lot of wine.”
“My weekends consist of nutritious food and good habits like going to the gym or long walks with friends.”
By the end of 2022, Kelly had lost another six pounds and slipped comfortably into size 10 dresses.
Kelly says that dieting doesn’t have to be boring because she makes time for a little fun every now and then.
She said: “When I drink, I opt for something low-calorie like gin and slimline tonic instead of wine.”
“Instead of greasy bacon butties on Saturday mornings, I eat omelettes or boiled eggs with mushrooms and spinach.”
Kelly’s lifestyle change has benefited both her family and her own health, especially as she looks forward to becoming a grandmother for the first time.
She said, “My kids say they’re proud of me and I’m glad I make them proud.”
“I feel amazing and proud of the lifestyle I’ve been able to create.” I can’t wait to become a grandmother in August and to walk around with my grandchild when they are older.
“I’ll be able to be a hands-on grandma and I can’t wait.”
