Formula Overview
$16.00/0.15 oz. – $106.67 Per Ounce
It is supposed to be a “multidimensional, buildable formula” that has “intense color payoff” and a “pearlescent-finish.” It is marketed as being “long-wearing, waterproof, [and] smudge-proof.”
The liquid eyeshadow has a lightweight, fluid consistency that felt like a cross between water and gel, which ensured that the product glided over my skin, blended out evenly, but wasn’t prone to settling into fine lines. This shimmer formulation was more buildable and apt to sheer out in its initial layer than the Matte formulation. The initial pigmentation really did vary from shade to shade, though.
They dried down fairly quickly, so I would recommend working one area at a time if more diffused/blended areas were desired. It would also be prudent to go in with fingertips or a fluffy brush to diffuse edges if choosing to wear the product all over the lid.
Once they set, they were quite budge-proof and lasted for 10 hours without fading or creasing on me when worn as an eyeshadow and 12 hours as an eyeliner. They had almost no fallout from the sparkle over time.

Refract
About Face Refract Fractal Glitter Eye Paint ($16.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, warmer white with a more translucent base chocked full of silver, white, and champagne sparkle throughout. This would be good for a wash of sparkle for a wet-looking shine and glimmer, but it was definitely hard to build up.

- Applied fairly evenly and blended out well; best with fingertip
