The formula is said to be buildable and blendable with a “natural looking” finish. They had a very smooth, creamy consistency with moderate glide, making them easy to pick up with fingertips or a brush for application. The formula dried to a silkier shine, not matte and not dewy. It never dried out completely, but it didn’t feel sticky or heavy to me.

The pigmentation was initially semi-transparent to medium and was buildable to high medium to semi-opaque. I felt they applied very easily to bare skin, but they weren’t that foolproof on base products – there was an occasional hint of lifting, but not consistently. They wore well on my skin for seven and a half hours before noticeably fading.

As a note, I’m not very familiar with Milk Makeup as a brand, but I do know that if you bought one of their sticks a few years ago, be prepared for a much smaller size in current offerings. It’s likely that for most people there’s more than enough product before it goes bad, but they definitely used to give you more bang for your buck! I think the physical product size is small enough that it’s fiddlier to use and not as ergonomic as it could be.
