One woman has shared the simple steps she took to lose 100 pounds in just a year without ever going to the gym or counting calories.

But when the pandemic hit in 2020, she decided it was time to change her life – and through a series of small “lifestyle adjustments” she was able to lose 130 pounds.

Liza said she would try things like diet or exercise, but “quickly gave up” because she felt so “down” at not seeing “instant results.”

She used a method called habit stacking, which is all about “building and maintaining a healthy habit before trying a new one.”
First, she increased her daily step count to at least 8,000 before also increasing her water intake to a gallon a day.
After that, she began exercising at home twice a week and preparing the majority of her meals herself instead of eating out.
She also began cutting back on her screen time at 9 p.m. to ensure she was getting adequate sleep.
Over time, she increased her home workouts to three a week, eventually moving up to five.
“I didn’t go to the gym until I lost 100 pounds at home with these habits,” she explained on Instagram. “And I didn’t start tracking my food until about six months into my journey.”

Liza admits that while getting to where she is now hasn’t been easy, she firmly believes that what she has achieved can be achieved by others if they put their minds to it.
‘It was hard. “Some days were harder than others, but I stuck with it and made progress over time,” she wrote on her website.
“Here I am now – happier than ever and proud of my transformation.” The results I’ve had through consistent dedication and a shift in my mindset are insane.
