The formula is said to have “transparent” coverage with a “dewy finish.” The opacity was spot on as the shades were quite softening, slightly tacky but smooth and showed through on application. If you’re someone who likes to be able to build their cream blush, you might miss this – you might be able to achieve semi-transparent coverage by just blending the edges lightly, but it’s going to feel quite wet and whatever tend to slip when worn.

Despite being a very emollient formula, it didn’t seem to improve my base products that much, including higher coverage, more satin to semi-matte products. Since it was so slippery, I preferred a brush to fingertips for a more even and precise application.

The main issue I had with this formula was – as you might have guessed – the lack of longevity due to all that moisture and smoothness. It tended to degrade any products worn underneath, so even when applied over another blush, shelf life was limited (often the powder blush itself was cut in half). It took a few hours to set with powder, but finding the right loose/pressed powder that blends well may require some troubleshooting.

They lasted three to four hours on their own before noticeably slipping/wandering. Because they’re fairly transparent, the glide is less noticeable than it might be with some formulas, especially to someone not looking at it.
